Sometimes when you get a new job listing, you might not know much about the job title and requirements. On a recent episode of Dueling Sourcers, Senior Technical Sourcer Carrie Collier said she uses a website called Techmap to help her learn more about a job, the requirements, and what companies might employ those potential candidates.

Carrie explained to host Stacey Broadwell that Techmap helps her find companies using specific technologies and where they are located. The site will show a map of where the companies are, giving you some great opportunities to target those companies for prospective applicants. It also explains the technologies and will provide related technologies as well.

Carrie is a Senior Technical Sourcer and Talent Engagement Specialist for Appian. She has more than a decade of successful experience recruiting and sourcing engineering professionals. As a Senior Technical Sourcer, she’s responsible for building relationships with internal stakeholders, talent market research, prioritizing business needs, and creatively identifying and engaging with potential candidates. She’s passionate about sourcing, automation tools, personal branding, coffee, mentorship, continuous learning, wine, and actively trying not to go down a rabbit hole.
