Dueling Sourcers Pro Tips: Jason Liu Recommends Storyboarding Your Sourcing Process

As a sourcer or recruiter, you usually have a good game plan when it comes to looking for potential candidates. Often, that plan is in your head because you’ve done it over and over, and you know the steps you’ve got to take to find and hire great people. But that doesn’t mean the other people you’re working with know exactly what you’re doing.

 

In a recent episode of Dueling Sourcers, the educational video series from TechRecruit providing tips, secrets, and hacks for sourcers everywhere, Senior Talent Researcher Jason Liu explained that he offers full transparency with his process with all parties involved, to make sure everyone understands what’s happening.

 

Jason, who’s worked with such companies as Apple, Facebook AI, Cruise, Robert Half and others, likes to write out the whole sourcing, recruiting, and hiring process in a storyboard, and shares that with the recruiters and candidates he’s working with, so they understand every step of the process. He's found great success by doing so. “I’ve got a 90-percent closure rate,” he said on the show.
